Break/Help

Well, sorry everyone about that blogcation i took... I am just very busy trying to keep up with my schoolwork, and other things, and I just forget to post.

to catch up alittle bit, we got some adorable chicks ( i will post pics later) and it seems like it is way to cold to be spring. right now at 8 o'clock on april 16th it is 35 degrees! brrrr!  but it has not gotten below freezing ( that i know of...) so yay!

anyway, I need to ask a favor of whoever may have the answer.  how do you post every day?  or every other day?  I ( as you have noticed) am terrible at posting even once a week! so how do you find things to post about and what pushes you to post?  (help!)

so back to the first paragraph, I will be taking an official blogcation :) until school is over and i will have less things on my plate in june.  around the second week in june is when i will be back!

please if you do have good information about my questions please, please, please, share with me!!!

spring

hey,
so it seems like spring is here; flowers are blooming, the temp is rising, and it can be beautiful and sunny in the morning and gross and raining in the afternoon of the same day. 
I have decided that spring is my favorite season.

it is the end of winter and cold, and the beginning of summer and warmth.  its that sensation of somthing good is going to happen just around the corner.

favorite picture friday

every friday i try to post 3 of my favorite pictures that i have taken in the past.  i sort of got off of this for a while the last month, but now i plan on getting back into it.

Sometimes life has disappointments.  I experienced that once again last night.  Its hard to remember how badly disappointments hurt until another one happens.  and, its hard to not get disappointed in the first place.  You try to tell yourself that its not going to happen, that your not going to win,even though you secretly are sure that it will.  It makes me think, "what do people think of me? or what don't they think of me?"  I wanted this thing pretty badly to be honest with you.  I shed a few tears over this.  But did i even bother to pray about it? Noooo. So maybe i need to stop thinking about what i want, and focus instead on what God wants.  my prayer to Him is something like this:
Lord, help me to learn from this, and help me to not be thinking on this unless it is to help me learn.  Help me to focus on what You want, not what i want.

cake dilemmas

Hello people!  yeah, i know, its kinda been like almost a whole month...  well I have good news! my speech class (which was wasting up all my time with homework etc.) is now finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so happy i am making a cake! well actually my mom made the cake, but i am going to decorate it!!  Do you guys bake/decorate cakes to celebrate things other then holidays/birthdays/other occasions that fall in this category?

I am having some frosting issues though... apparently my dad doesn't like chocolate frosting (it is a yellow cake)  and my mom does not care for homemade butter cream. :/ I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do about this predicament...

anywho, I'm thinking about decorating it something like this:

 

I think that the ones on the right are wedding cakes, but they are pretty cute.  I like the blue one right in front.

Okay... so really sorry that I have not posted in forever!! But i have been very busy with school and swim team! but it is now over and i had a great year with so many friends, new and old.  so now that it is over, i should stop being lazy and take some pictures already!

today was a fun day filled with homework (okay, that part wasn't really the fun part...) and friends.  my friend and I went to a basket ball game and then to dinner! Things like that are perfect for friday nights, don't you think?

Anyway,  I can almost not believe that the year of 2012 is over!  or almost over.  tomorrow starts the new year, with new years resolutions and other things to be looking forward to.

ugg... does anyone know how hard it is to take self portraits? I found it very hard....  I thought this one was the best :) oh well... next year i will have practice more! yeah!!

Favorite Picture Friday

Hello!! It is Friday! Have you ever noticed that a lot of pictures can have a story behind it?? Well most of the ones I am posting today do... :)

This picture was taken at the river beach; about 25 minutes away from my home, so basically my family went there a lot this last summer.

This picture was taken at my aunts house this summer.  this cow was (supposedly) chasing my two cousins and brother around in the forest further past the cow.  My other cousin and I walked over to see what all the noise was about and she left me to go into the forest and i stayed behind and took pictures of these daisies because i did not particularly feel like being chased by a cow at that moment.

This picture was also taken this summer on the 4th of July.  big surprise right? :)

New for Fridays

Alrighty guys I have something special to present!!

I am going to, every friday, do a post called Favorite Picture Friday, and I am going to, every friday, post 3 or so pictures that i have taken in the past up till now that are some of my favorite pictures! Some of them could be from last week or it could be from years ago.

I came across this idea when i was looking through picasa yesterday and realized that i have so many pictures that i just love, so every friday i will share some with you!!! 

It just so happens that all of these pictures were taken in August of this year when i was visiting my friend.

So what do you guys think?

Homemade Hot Chocolate & Fuzzy Socks

There is nothing quite nice as sitting around the house after doing math homework, then drinking homemade hot chocolate with fuzzy socks on your feet.

So...... I've been thinking about Christmas and winter break a lot lately.  Could it be because of the Christmas music that is constantly playing in my bedroom....?  Anyway, I feel like there is so much to do!!!!!!! I want to make Christmas cards, and bake like a hundred different types of cookies!  but i still have school work to do, and my bed room needs to be cleaned, and other work needs to be done. oh well i guess the season will come soon enough!

for thanksgiving, we went for a walk in the woods with family after we had a big dinner at my aunt's.   i was wearing purple flats. not exactly hiking shoes. or tennis shoes.  or shoes that should be walked through wet slippery leaves!   But anyways, i got some good pictures and these are two of them :)

Halloween

Hello,

I feel so ( I mean SO) bad for not posting anything for a whole month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHH!!!

well I am posting now so that is what matters I guess, right?

Well my halloween was good, I walked around with my sibs. while they trick or treated. 

Kylee was a cat and Kirsten was a fairy/princess

Kylee... she's always ready for me to take a picture of her when no one else will let me take one of them :)
